Description

The cherimoya is a heart shaped fruit with prickly green skin, creamy white pulp, and large black seeds. It is ripe when the skin gives in to gentle pressure. The pulp is the only edible part of the cherimoya, and it tastes like a combination of banana, pineapple, and papaya. It can be eaten by itself, pureed as a desert topping, or in fruit salads.
