Breadfruit is a round or oval shaped tropical fruit that is picked when it is fully mature, but not yet ripe. As it ripens, the skin of the breadfruit will turn yellowish and the inside flesh will sweeten and turn to a cream color. Breadfruit is commonly baked, mashed, or fried like a potato.
